Massage for Your Wellbeing
Compassionate care to soothe your body and mind!
Compassionate care to soothe your body and mind!

I’m Lou — a holistic therapist who works intuitively, letting your body guide each session. My foundation is in holistic massage, and I’ve expanded my practice to include deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, postural techniques, Indian head massage and Reiki.
I draw from these modalities as needed, responding to how your body feels on the day and what it quietly asks for.
Alongside my therapeutic massage work, I have developed a particular focus on lymphatic therapies, including Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), post-operative MLD, lymphoedema support and oncology-informed treatments. These sessions are gentle, slow and deeply supportive — held with care for both your physical and emotional wellbeing.
My space is calm, safe and unhurried. Every treatment is shaped around you — your breath, your tension, your energy and the way your body communicates.
My aim is to help you feel lighter, more grounded and deeply cared for.

My massage work is fully intuitive and shaped around what your body needs on the day. Rather than choosing a specific style, each session blends techniques such as holistic massage, deep tissue work, trigger point therapy, postural techniques, Indian head massage, and Reiki. Your treatment is guided by your breath, your tension, your comfort, and the way your body communicates — creating a calm, supportive, and deeply personalised experience.

Indian Head Massage is a calming, restorative treatment focusing on the head, neck, shoulders, and upper back. Using gentle, rhythmic techniques, it helps ease tension, quiet the mind, and support a deep sense of relaxation. This stand‑alone treatment is ideal for stress, overwhelm, and anyone needing a peaceful moment to unwind and feel lighter.

Your lymphatic system is a quiet, hard‑working part of your body that helps keep you healthy every day. It supports your immune system, manages fluid balance, and filters out waste your body doesn’t need. Most people never notice it — until something affects how well it works.
The lymphatic system helps to:
It works alongside your blood circulation to keep your tissues comfortable and balanced.
Lymph vessels Tiny channels that collect fluid from the tissues and guide it back toward the chest.
Lymph nodes Small filters found in the neck, armpits, chest, abdomen and groin. They remove waste and help fight infection.
Lymphatic organs The spleen, thymus, tonsils and bone marrow all support immunity.
Lymph A clear fluid containing water, proteins, immune cells, fats and waste products.
Every day, fluid leaves your blood vessels to nourish your tissues. Most of it returns to the bloodstream, but a small amount stays behind. The lymphatic system collects this leftover fluid, filters it, and returns it to circulation.
When the lymphatic system struggles to move fluid effectively, swelling can develop — this is where conditions like lymphoedema can occur.

Lymphoedema is a long‑term condition where the lymphatic system struggles to drain fluid effectively, causing swelling in the tissues — most commonly in the arms or legs, but it can affect any part of the body. It develops when the lymphatic system does not work properly or becomes damaged, leading to fluid build‑up, heaviness, tightness, and changes in skin texture. There are two types of Lymphoedema Primary and Secondary.
Primary lymphoedema is caused by changes in the genes responsible for the development of the lymphatic system. These genetic differences mean the lymph vessels or nodes may not form correctly or may not work as they should. It can appear at birth, during childhood, adolescence, or early adulthood, and sometimes runs in families.
Secondary lymphoedema develops when a previously healthy lymphatic system becomes damaged or overwhelmed. Common causes include:
These factors can impair lymphatic flow and lead to swelling over time.
People with lymphoedema may experience:
Symptoms can vary day‑to‑day and may worsen without appropriate support.
I provide FG‑MLD to support lymphoedema and treatment‑related swelling. This gentle, clinical technique is based on real‑time imaging of the lymphatic system, allowing the therapist to follow the drainage pathways your body actually uses. Movements are slow, light and calming, helping reduce swelling, soften tight areas and ease heaviness. Sessions are always adapted to your medical history and comfort.

Post‑Operative Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, specialised technique that supports your body’s natural healing after surgery. The movements are slow, light and rhythmic, helping to calm inflammation and guide excess fluid into healthy lymphatic pathways. This treatment is deeply soothing and can make recovery feel more comfortable, especially when swelling, tightness or pressure begin to build.
Swelling is a normal part of healing. After surgery, your body increases blood flow and lymphatic activity to repair tissues, which can lead to fluid collecting in the area. You may notice puffiness, tightness, firmness or a feeling of heaviness. If lymphatic pathways are disrupted — for example, after lymph node removal, scarring or surgical trauma — fluid can build up more quickly. Post‑Op MLD helps support these pathways so your body can move fluid more effectively.
Post‑Op MLD can make recovery feel smoother by helping your body manage swelling and inflammation. The technique encourages fluid movement, softens firm or congested areas, and supports comfort around scars or tender tissues. Many people find that MLD helps reduce pressure, improves mobility, and makes the healing process feel calmer and more manageable. It’s a gentle way to support your body while it repairs itself.
Your session is calm, quiet and tailored to your stage of healing. You’ll be positioned comfortably, and every movement is light and soothing — never painful or forceful. We work slowly, allowing your body to relax and respond. If you’re feeling tender, tired or anxious, the treatment can be adapted to help you feel safe and supported throughout.
Your comfort and safety are always the priority. Treatments are adapted around incisions, drains, dressings, bruising, tenderness and oncology considerations. If an area is too sensitive to touch, we work gently around it using safe lymphatic pathways. Everything is paced according to how your body feels on the day, and you are always in control of the session.
Post‑Op MLD can support recovery after many types of surgery, including:
It can be helpful whether swelling is mild, moderate or more noticeable.
